About Estimatery
Estimatery is a free estimate builder. You pick the template for your industry, type in your rates, and send a clean document that makes you look more organized than you are. Your costs and margin stay on your side of the screen. That is the entire product. We wrote more below anyway, because a page this short looks like we are hiding something.
Why it exists
It started as a spreadsheet. Every job began the same way: copy last job’s file, delete the old client’s name, and forget to delete exactly one of the costs. Eventually one of those went out the door. Nothing caught fire, but it easily could have, and learning your markup is a bad way for a client to start trusting you.
So the costs moved somewhere the client-facing document cannot reach. Then came the templates, because retyping the same forty line items every week is its own quiet tragedy. Then it turned out plenty of other people rebuild that same spreadsheet on the same Tuesday nights. So now it is a product.
We are aware that “someone got tired of a spreadsheet” is not much of an origin story. We went looking for a better one and came back empty.
How it stays free
The builder is free. All of it. Every template, every export, the live P&L, the share links, the lot. No trial clock, no seat count, no useful feature parked behind a demo call.
Pro is one payment of $39. It puts your name and logo on client-facing exports in place of ours, lifts the cloud-save limit, and adds a Saved Items catalog for the lines you price on every job. That is the whole difference. It is not a subscription, it does not renew, and there is no Estimatery Pro Max waiting on a roadmap somewhere.
Giving the tool away and charging $39 once is a questionable way to fund a company. We have read the same business advice you have. We are doing it anyway.
The rule we do not bend
Your client never sees your costs. Not because a switch is set the right way, but because the client version is a separate document that never held them. No margins, no markup, no internal notes, nothing to fat-finger at 11pm. The numbers are not hidden in the file. They were never in the file. There is nothing to leak.

Who makes it
Estimatery is run by people who quote real jobs for real clients, which is why the line items read like someone has actually used them, and why the margin math sits where you can see it and the client cannot.
There is no sales team. There is nobody to escalate you to. Bug reports, feature ideas, and requests for a template we have not built yet go to hello@estimatery.com, where an actual human reads them. Usually the same week.
